I have been a fishing enthusiast since I was a child I have spent many
hours at lakes and rivers.
Finally 14 years ago I discovered fly-fishing
and eventually became an avid fly fisher. Around
that time I began to
also tie flies for myself, to ensure I always have the right kind for
any occasion.
Professionally, I am a master cabinetmaker who enjoys working with natural
materials
and prefers hand crafted, customized products to industrial
mass-produced goods.
Today, I am able to combine my profession and my passion for fishing,
by building fishing gear and accessories.
I started building furniture
specially designed for storing and displaying fishing gear before I actually
made the move towards creating split cane fly rods and related accessories.
My love for working with natural materials and my professional knowledge
of the materials and of fishing helps me, make exclusive, custom designed
fly rods that are perfected to the detail.
One of my most impressive experiences was visiting Walter Brunner. The enthusiasm and vitality
when he told about rod building and flyfishing have beared me out in my decision.
